What we provide
Directions derived from the MTA's published timetable data, and a relay of their public service alerts. The service is free to use and paid for by advertising.
What we do not promise
That any journey time is accurate, that any train will run, or that any alert is complete or current. The underlying feeds are the MTA's and we pass on what they say. Do not rely on this site where being wrong would cost you something you cannot afford to lose — a flight, a court date, a hospital appointment. Leave margin, and check the signs in the station.
We are not the MTA
NYCSubMap is independent of, and not endorsed or licensed by, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Line names, numbers and colours are used to identify real services and imply no association. The map is our own work.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Do not scrape the planner or hammer the API. There are rate limits and we will use them.
- We can close an account that is being used to attack or degrade the service.
Changes
We may change these terms. If a change is material we will say so on the site rather than quietly swapping the page.
